Top 10 Mocktail Recipes

1. Shirley Temple


This is a quick favourite that’s so easy to make at home. Only two ingredients yet so tasty – and no alcohol in sight.

½ oz of grenadine
4 oz of ginger ale/lemonade
Mixing Method

Add grenadine to a highball glass half-filled with ice cubes
Top with ginger ale (or lemonade)
Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and/or a slice of orange

2. Nojito


This is one of the most famous mocktails around. You get all the refreshing flavour of a Mojito without the alcohol, or the headache the next day.

1 oz of lime juice
4 oz of club soda/ lemonade
6 mint leaves
2 tsp of brown sugar
Mixing Method

Add the lime juice, brown sugar and mint leaves in a highball glass
Bruise a few mint leaves using a spoon and add to the glass
Let the mix rest for a few hours
Fill the glass with ice and stir
Top with Club Soda (or lemonade)
Add a sprig of mint for decoration

3. Safe Sex on the Beach


You can’t go wrong with a Sex on the Beach, with the mixture of orange, cranberry and peach; it is always a refreshing drink and reminiscent of sunny days on the beach.

¼ cup of orange juice
¼ cup of cranberry juice
1 oz of peach nectar
1 tbsp of grenadine
1 pineapple wedge
Mixing Method

Mix equal parts of orange juice and cranberry juice
Add peach nectar and pour the mix over ice
Sink the grenadine
Garnish with a pineapple wedge or orange slice

4. Virgin Margarita


Everybody knows the Margarita’s refreshing taste and on a hot day, it’s the perfect tipple – we’ve just made it friendly for alcohol-free drinkers.

6 oz of frozen limeade
3 oz Orange Juice
1 oz of lemon juice
1 oz of lime juice
2 tsp of superfine sugar
4 cups of ice
Mixing Method

Mix all of the ingredients together in a pitcher, excluding the ice
Stir for a minute then add the ice and stir for a little longer
Rim your glass with sugar or salt and pour the drink in
Garnish with a lime wheel

5. Orange-Lime Relaxer


After a hard day at work, what more could you want from a mocktail than a refreshing, relaxing drink. With no alcohol involved, you can drink this little gem on a school night and not have to worry!

2 ½ oz of orange juice
1 oz of lime juice
5 oz pf lemonade
1 lime wedge
Mixing Method

Chill your highball glass and shaker in the freezer until chilled
Pour the lemonade into the shaker
Add the orange juice and lime juice
Shake everything together and pour into the chilled highball glass
Garnish with a wedge of lime

6. Cinderella


Everybody loves a Disney Princess and you can have a beautiful drink with a touch of innocence and absolutely no guilt, just like one of the most iconic princesses around.

1 lemon
Mixing Method

Muddle lemon and lime
Shake with pineapple and orange juice over ice
Strain into a pre-chilled glass over ice

For fans of the Bloody Mary who are looking for a lighter way to cure a hangover, this mocktail is for you! With its classic twist of flavours, the Virgin Mary doesn’t divert too far off track from it’s naughty cousin.

a dash of lemon juice
2 drops of tabasco
a pinch of celery salt
0.5 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 stick of celery
Mixing Method

Rim a tall glass with celery salt
Fill the glass with ice
Pour in all the ingredients, keeping the tomato juice until last
Stir together
Serve with a celery stick

8. Non-Alcohol Fizz


How can you resist a bit of fizz in your mocktail?! This one is refreshing, classic and perfect for parties.

Mixing Method

Shake the orange and cranberry juice with ice
Pour into a highball using a strainer
Add ice
Pour in the Club Soda

12 oz of frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons of superfine sugar
juice of 2 medium limes
fresh strawberries for garnish
Mixing Method

Add pineapple, frozen strawberries, sugar and lime juice to a blender
Puree until smooth
Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh strawberries and serve immediately

10. Virgin Pina Colada


Do you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain? Try this totally tasty and completely alcohol free version of the classic.

1 part pineapple juice
1 part coconut cream
1 slice of fresh pineapple
1 maraschino cherry
1 cup of ice cubes
Mixing Method

Fill a glass with ice cubes and empty in to a blender
Chill glass whilst finishing this recipe
Add the pineapple juice and sweetened coconut cream to the blender
Blitz vigorously until the mix has the texture of a thick milkshake
Pour into the chilled glass
Add the pineapple slice and maraschino cherry to garnish
